WOODSTOCK — Residents will have a chance to learn more about an overhaul to the town’s short-term rental regulations during an information session Wednesday night.
The gathering will take place at 6 p.m. at town hall and can also be streamed via townofwoodstock.org. The Woodstock Selectboard and Village Trustees will both be present.
The proposed ordinance would move short-term rental policies from Woodstock’s zoning bylaws and instead create a municipal ordinance for both the town and village. It also would institute a town-wide cap of 110 for the number of short-term rentals that would be permitted in town, with 55 each permitted for owner-occupied and non-owner occupied rental categories. The proposed cap excludes those who are “preexisting rural operators,” who have short-term rentals in the Residential Five Acre and Forestry Reserve zoning districts.
More information about the proposed ordinance is online at: townofwoodstock.org/departments/planning-zoning/.
