Emergency assistance center opens in Woodstock

WOODSTOCK — Woodstock Union High School is serving as a location for people affected by last week’s flooding to receive assistance, according to Vermont Emergency Management.
The site is open Tuesday through Thursday, July 18-20, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The site is one of several Multi-Agency Resource Centers being set up across the state in response to the damage people experienced last week.
Resources from various agencies, such as the Red Cross and FEMA, are available and include: food and water; cleaning kits; assistance finding recovery resources; mental health services and basic medical services.
“Together, we will overcome this adversity and rebuild our community stronger than ever before,” according to a Tuesday message posted to the town’s website.
