Budgets and other spending articles: The proposed operating budget is $1.06 million, of which $942,000 is to come from taxes. Voters approved a budget of $917,000 last year. There also is a requested appropriation of $90,000 for the West Fairlee Volunteer Fire Department, which is up from $82,500 last year.

When, where and how to vote: The floor meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 1, at 10 a.m. in the Community Building. Australian ballot voting for officers and the budget is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Community Building.
