Diving into their training

As part of their monthly training detail, members of Vermont State Police’s underwater recovery team hold a session near the covered bridge at the Ottauquechee River in Quechee, Vt., on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024. Trooper Jon Hall, left, and instructor and Trooper. Jon Prack are about to enter the water as Trooper Steve Schutt records their performance. The river maintains conditions of large rock features and a current that can be disorienting for divers, helpful for those in training to get used to those types of conditions.(Valley News-Jennifer Hauck)
