First responders contained the fire to the room where it started and the building’s second floor had heat, smoke and water damage.

By 6:45 a.m., the fire was under control, and all officers left the scene by 9 a.m..

Sunday afternoon, firefighters then responded to a second-alarm house fire at a home on Pine Street at about 1:30 p.m..

The fire started in the wall of a second-floor apartment and it was contained to one room.
