SPRINGFIELD, N.H. — During Saturday’s floor meeting, voters approved a petitioned article calling on state elected officials to reject expansion of taxpayer funding for private education.

The vote was 43-7, with two abstentions.

Voters unanimously approved an operating budget of $1.77 million, as well as a separate article seeking $200,000 — with $100,000 to come from the unreserved fund balance — for highway repair and maintenance.
