Route 5 to close in Bradford, Vt., Tuesday

BRADFORD, Vt. — A portion of Route 5 between Route 25B and Carson Lane will be closed in Bradford part of next week.

Construction crews are planning to repair a bridge that crosses the Waits River from 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, through 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, according to a news release from the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Motorists can take Route 25B to Route 25 to Route 5 as a detour.

VTrans will post an alert to New England 511, newengland511.org, when the stretch of Route 5 reopens.
