THETFORD — Route 113 near the West Fairlee/Thetford town line is scheduled to be closed this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9 and 10, to allow for the installation of a new culvert.

A detour route will be in place for drivers south from Route 113 and Route 5 to Route 14 in Hartford; and west to Route 110 to go north and return to Route 113, according to the Thetford Department of Public Works.

The closure is necessary to allow for the replacement of a 48-inch metal pipe with a 9-foot wide, 7-foot high, 58-foot-long precast concrete box culvert.

Route 113 is scheduled to reopen with alternating one-way traffic on Monday, Sept. 11, at 7 a.m. Crews are scheduled to continue paving and slope work through October.
