Zoning ordinances pass in Plainfield; school meeting on Saturday

PLAINFIELD — In ballot voting on Tuesday, voters elected three to the School Board and one to the Selectboard in uncontested races.

Amy S. Lappin won a three-year term on the Selectboard.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Rybeck Houde won a two-year term on the School Board. Norman Berman and Jordan Green each won a three-year term on the School Board.

Voters also approved four changes to the zoning ordinance including those that aim to clarify opportunities for renewable energy and enhance opportunities for additional housing by streamlining the process for creating an accessory dwelling unit.

The annual school meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 16 at 9 a.m. in the school gym. Town Meeting is at 1 p.m. also in the school gym.
