Articles of note: In separate articles, voters will be asked whether they authorize the Selectboard to sell 20 acres of town-owned land on Old Stagecoach Road and 24 acres of land on Halls Lake Road, also known as the Old Ski Tow property. Another article asks whether voters support a 10-year property tax exemption for the Frances Atkinson Residence for the Retired, a nonprofit residential care facility, located at 4717 Route 5 South.

Contested races: Josh Ackerman and Susan Culp are facing off for a three-year term on the Selectboard.

Budgets and spending articles: The proposed highway budget is $884,000, up from last year’s proposal of $829,000. The proposed general fund budget is $711,000, up from last year’s proposal of $640,350.

When, where and how to vote: Town Meeting is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. at Newbury Village Hall in Newbury Village. The polls will be open for the election of town officers from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
