Highlights: The Bears fell to Bow, 16-4, on Thursday.

The game was close going into the fourth inning with the Bears down 6-4.

Bow surged ahead with aggressive base running and timely hitting, including a four run fourth inning and a six run fifth inning that sealed the outcome. Despite the loss, Hanover showed flashes of offensive power with ten hits on the day from eight different players..

Highlights: Wyatt Cadwell threw 73 pitches in 6 innings to give the Wildcats the win. He gave up 1 earned run, struck out 10 and walked none. His stuff was really good today. The Cats pounded out 14 hits and scored 11 runs. Donavan Craven led the attack going 4 for 4 with 5 RBIs, Ty Couture was 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs, Zander Clark 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs, Issac Wimett 2 for 3 with a double, Quinlan Grace 1 for 3 with a double, Jacob Benoit, Wyatt Cadwell, Brayden Russ and Holden Rediker all added a hit apiece.

Track and Field Newport boys dominates at Kearsarge

The Newport boys track and field team won a four-team meet at Kearsarge Regional High School, with several Tigers placing first

Winning their events were Newport’s Aaron Fellows, 100 meters, Cayden Forand, 200 meters, Connor Clark, 110 hurdles, Gabe Howe, high jump, Josh Seymour, long jump, Aiden Couitt, triple jump, Isaiah Nash, shot put, Logan Rusin, discus, and Ayden Hodge, javelin. Fellows, Couitt, Forand and Tyson Diapola were first in the 4 by 100. Christian Forsythe was second in the 400 meters and Fellows, second in the 800 meters, Diapola, second in the pole vault, Couitt second in the long jump and Rusin second in the shot put. For the Newport girls, first place finishers included Chloe Greenwood in the 100 meter hurdles, Callie Dixon, shot put, Skylar Nelson, discus and Torrence Williams, javelin with Emily Hooper second in the 800 meters
