Highlights: Barwood broke Hartford’s all-time points record for girls ice hockey with her third point of a five-point night (one goal, four assists). Other point scorers: Flynn Moreno (two goals), Emma Bazin (two goals, one assist), Zoe Zanleoni (goal, two assists), Grace Hayes (goal), Aubree Vail (goal), Maria Chaput (assist). Woodstock goalie Pippa Shaw made an impressive 25 saves.

After Lebanon pulled its goalie, Bazin chopped the puck out of the zone behind the defender, where Zanleoni picked it up and put it in the empty net. Bowen made a few big stops in the third period to keep Lebanon scoreless and secure the shutout.

Highlights: Crowell led the charge offensively with 12 points and four assists. Ellingson provided stability and leadership on both ends. Kantor kept the pace and pressure up on offense by driving on closeouts and getting into the teeth of the defense.

Highlights: The Bears raced out to a 28-15 lead at the half and never looked back. Sobel and Frechette each had 13 poimts for Hanover. Daigle chipped in with 10. Bagatell had eight points in his first start. Oldenburg had a game-high 14 for Plymouth.

Upper Valley athletes win
at Plymouth State meet
HOLDERNESS, N.H. — Several Upper Valley athletes had first-place finishes in Saturday’s New Hampshire Winter Track League meet at Plymouth State, including the boys and girls 4x800 relay teams for Hanover, Newport hurdler Maddox Lovely and Mascoma shot putter Barnaby Diehn.
Also winning their events were Hanover’s Aria Deeb in the girls 1,000 meters (3:18) and teammate Alexander Valentino in the boys 1,500 (4:13). Hanover’s Valentino, Ben Hourdequin, Alexander Collins and Yosh Bardach won the 4x800 in a time of 9 minutes, 11 seconds, and the Bears’ relay team of Deeb, Alice Bell, Grace Stewart and Jacklyn Anderson won the girls 4x800 in 10:34.
Diehn’s winning shot put distance was 45 feet, 6 inches, with Mascoma teammate Colin Myers second. Newport’s Lovely won the 55-meter hurdles (9:06), was second in the 300 meters and fourth in the 55-meter dash. Also for Newport, Callie Dixon was second in the shot put and Byrce Palmer was fourth in the 1000. Other top results included Mascoma’s Gunner Currier (third, 1,500); Lebanon’s Oscar Gulledge (third, 55 hurdles); Lebanon’s Jenney Lutz (fifth, 300); the Raiders’ Lutz, Rachel Horak, Banipreet Kaur and Maggie Del Frari (third, 4x200 relay); Hanover’s Bell (4th, 600); and teammates Maeve Bradley (third, 55 dash; third, 300 run) and Ben Hourdequin (fifth, 1,500).

Thetford boys and girls
place third at Northfield meet
NORTHFIELD, Vt. — At Saturday’s Chip Langmaid Invitational track meet at Norwich University, Thetford’s Brady Sloop won the 600-meter race in 1 minute, 28 seconds and finished second in the 3,200 merters, and the Panthers’ Maya Dixon won the 55-meter hurdles (10 seconds).
Also helping the Thetford boys and girls teams to third-place finishes were Ramona Spelman with a second in the boys 55 hurdles and Ava Hayden with a second in the girls 3,200.
Samuel Morse of Hartford High, which finished sixth as a team, won the 55 dash (7.00), and Hartford’s Geneva Durgin was third in the girls 1,000. The Oxbow boys 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams of Shane Morse, Landen Hailey, Jake Danis and Andrew Barrett were third in both races. The Hartford girls 4x200 relay team of Scarlett Brooks, Samantha Fraser, Kathryn Summarsell and Dakota Smith finished third, and the Thetford 4x200 boys relay team of Emmett Terry, David Thaxton, Luke Miller and Hunter Clay was fourth.
Other top results included Jayden Forbes (Hartford, third, high jump); Emmett Terry (Thetford, fourth, 55 dash); Sebastian Perdrizet (Thetford, third, long jump and 300 meters); Luke Miller (Thetford, fourth, 300 meters), Alicja Perdrizet (Thetford, fourth, 55 dash) and Leah Crossett (Thetford, fourth, 1,000 run). For the White River Valley boys, Samuel Armstrong was third in the 55 hurdles and Jack Hughes second in the long jump. Addison Isham was third in the 300 and fourth in both the 55 dash and 55 hurdles for WRV.

Bowling
Stevens finishes second
in six-team match
CLAREMONT — The Stevens bowling team finished second in a six-team match at Maple Lanes on Saturday.
The Cardinals qualified first after the individual scores and progressed to the finals of the Baker match against Goffstown.
After losing the first match 146-149, Stevens bounced back to even things up with a 231 to 143 victory. But Goffstown won the deciding game, 208-199.
Devyn Corliss had the best individual games for Stevens, bowling a 202 and 242, followed by Logan Aiken with a 181 and 201. Also at the match were Merrimack, Hillsboro-Deering, Coe-Brown and Winnacunnet.
Stevens bowls again at Maple Lanes on Jan. 4.
