LEBANON — The Lebanon Police and Fire departments are scheduled to hold an American Red Cross Blood Drive next week at the American Legion Post 22.

The blood drive is set for Wednesday, Jan. 17, 12 to 5 p.m. at 189 Mechanic St. in Lebanon.

The American Red Cross is experiencing an emergency blood shortage, according to the Red Cross’ website. The lowest number of people are giving blood in 20 years, the site said. All blood types are needed, but Type O blood is in particularly high demand.

People who donate in the month of January will automatically be entered for a chance to win a trip to Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. More information is online at: RedCrossBlood.org/SuperBowl.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visiting redcrossblood.org and entering: LebanonNH or zip code 03748.
