Hartland shooting range closes for season on Dec. 14

HARTLAND — Hammond Cove Shooting Range will close for the winter on Dec. 14, and reopen in April. 

Hammond Cove, located at the end of Ferry Road in Hartland, is an outdoor public shooting range operated by the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department. It is free and features a six-port, 100-yard rifle range, as well as a pistol bench.

The shooting range is scheduled to reopen April 1, according to the VFW website.
