WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — Good Neighbor Health Clinics, a White River Junction-based nonprofit providing free medical and dental care to people without insurance or other ability to pay, has named a new executive director.

Elizabeth R. Austin, an Enfield resident, comes to Good Neighbor from the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, N.H., where she served as director of administrative services, according to a news release on Wednesday. Previously, Austin worked at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in healthcare administration from Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester.

“This is truly an exciting time for Good Neighbor,” Craig Westling, chairman of the clinics’ board, said in the release. “Elizabeth will play a critical role as we evolve and grow to meet the changing needs of those we serve. We’re thrilled to have her join us.”

Austin replaces Dana Michalovic, who left late last year after eight years as the free clinics’ leader.

Also last year, the nonprofit opened a new location for medical services on Hanover Street in downtown Lebanon. Both medical and dental care are provided at its other site, 70 North Main Street in White River Junction.
