Article of note: Voters will be asked whether they want to raise $287,000 in taxes to support capital improvements in town. That’s up from $275,000 last year.

Contested races: Officers will be elected from the floor.

Budgets and spending articles:  The proposed general fund budget is $1.37 million, with $1.05 million to come from taxes. That’s up from a budget of $1.27 million last year. The proposed highway budget is $331,000, with $208,000 to come from taxes. That’s up from a highway budget of $301,000 last year.

When, where and how to vote: Town Meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 5 at 10 a.m. in the Fairlee Town Hall, 75 Town Common Road.
