Voters approve Dorchester budget, elect officers

DORCHESTER — At Town Meeting on Saturday, voters approved a $659,000 operating budget. 

They also supported an appropriation of $18,070 for a town-wide property reevaluation, with $17,000 to come from a reserve fund for the purpose.

In ballot voting last Tuesday, voters elected Corbett Myles to a three-year term on the Selectboard and Craig Veasey to a two-year term on the board. Both races were uncontested.

On Tuesday, 46 voters cast ballots and 23 attended Saturday’s floor meeting. The town has 266 voters on the checklist.
