Program to help adults respond to youth distress begins May 2

LEBANON — Dartmouth Health is scheduled to host an online learning series focused on identifying and responding to youth in distress starting Tuesday, May 2.
The five-session Project ECHO series runs every other Tuesday from 12 – 1 p.m. through June 20. It is intended to help coaches, Scout leaders, faith leaders, teachers, camp counselors, librarians and others who mentor youth to help address an ongoing youth mental health crisis that includes increases in anxiety, depression, trauma and suicidal ideation.
The session topics include: recognizing youth in distress, the underlying causes, building resiliency and connection, and resources and working with families.
