Cornish approves all school warrant articles

CORNISH — Voters on Saturday passed all articles on the warrant at the annual school meeting.

They also elected Jesse Cloutier to a three-year term on the School Board over Matthew Dunn, 88-81.

Approved articles included the $5.4 million budget and a three-year teacher contract with the first year costing $118,000. Other appropriations approved included $100,000 for the Special Education and Tuition Expendable Trust Fund and $50,000 for the School Facilities Expendable Trust Fund. 

Karim Chichalky was elected school moderator for a one-year term, replacing Dan Poor, who stepped down.

Voting for town officers and zoning amendments is Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the town hall. The business portion of Town Meeting is Saturday, March 15 at 10 a.m. in the Cornish Elementary School gymnasium.
