Corinth elects town, school officers

CORINTH — Voters elected town officers in uncontested races at the polls on Tuesday.

Holly Groschner earned a one-year term on the Selectboard and Stephen DeVoto earned a three-year term on the board. 

On the school side, Jeremiah Goyette earned a three-year term representing Corinth on the Waits River Valley School Board.

Of the town’s 1,129 registered voters, 257 cast ballots in local elections.

During the floor meeting, voters approved a highway fund budget of $953,000, of which 683,000 is to be raised by taxes, as well as a highway capital equipment fund of $130,000 to be raised by taxes. They also approved a general fund budget of $493,000, of which $241,000 is to be raised by taxes.
