Corinth OKs use of surplus funds for special projects

CORINTH — In Tuesday’s floor meeting, voters approved the budgets as warned.
They authorized the town to use surplus funds for special projects to restore the town hall and purchase and install a generator for a total of $133,000.
They supported a highway fund budget of $967,000, of which $681,000 is to come from taxes; as well as a general fund budget of $531,000, of which $252,000 is to come from taxes; and a highway capital equipment fund of $130,000.
In uncontested races by ballot on Tuesday, voters elected Holly Groschner to a three-year term on the Selectboard and Michael Tkac to a three-year term on the School Board.
