CHELSEA — In a floor vote on Tuesday, residents approved a $1.75 million general fund budget, of which $1.14 million is to come from taxes.
That’s up from the budget of $1.66 million, of which $1.06 million was to come from taxes, that voters approved last year.
All other floor vote articles passed including $15,840 in appropriations for various nonprofit agencies in town.
At the ballot box, voters elected Curtis Chase to a three-year term on the Selectboard and Paul Libby to a two-year term on the board. Carrie Caouette-Delallo earned a one year of a three-year term position on the board.
Jennifer Chase beat out Katherine “Katie” Golden to replace outgoing Town Clerk Karen Lathrop, who is retiring.
They also supported a five-year property tax exemption for the Chelsea Health Center at 365 VT Route 110.
