HANOVER — The cause of a Wednesday afternoon two-alarm fire at a single-family home on Greensboro Road in Hanover is under investigation, according to a news release from the Hanover Fire Department.

No injuries were reported in the blaze at 22 Greensboro Road for which a first alarm was issued around 4 p.m., but the 1½-story structure sustained “significant damage.”

The property, which is owned by a trust in Raymond C. Dickinson Jr.’s name, is assessed at a value of $511,400, according to town property records.

The fire, which was under control by 5 p.m., does not appear to be suspicious and it was unoccupied at the time. 

In addition to the Hanover Fire Department, departments from Lebanon, Hartford, Norwich, Lyme and Canaan also responded to the fire. Orford and Thetford fire departments and Upper Valley Ambulance provided station coverage for Hanover.
