Town Meeting preview: Two vie for three-year term on Bradford Selectboard

Article of note: One article asks whether the town should “cease the scoping, design and/or construction of a walking/bicycle path or sidewalk” from Vermont Route 25B to a park and ride located off the intersection of Route 25 and Plateau Acres.
Contested races: Meroa S. Benjamin and Ryan Rebozo are facing off for a three-year term on the Selectboard. Daniel A. Perry III is running uncontested for a two-year term on the Selectboard.
Budgets and spending articles: The proposed general fund budget is $1.76 million, with $1.48 million expected to come from taxes. That’s up from last year’s general fund budget of $1.54 million. The proposed highway fund budget is $1.36 million, with $1.24 million to come from taxes. That’s up from last year’s highway fund budget of $1.26 million.
When, where and how to vote: Town Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 2 at 9 a.m. in the Bradford Academy auditorium. Polls will be open for Australian ballot voting on Tuesday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
