BRADFORD, Vt. — The Orange East Supervisory Union has made the interim principal of Bradford Elementary School permanent.

Edith Fogarty has served in the interim role since July 2024, after Marla Ianello left the post to become assistant superintendent of student support and operations for Orange East.

“Mrs. Fogarty brings a deep understanding of the school community and a strong commitment to its continued success,” according to a news release from the supervisory union.

A Hartland native who graduated from Hartford High School, Fogarty began working at Bradford Elementary School in 2011 as a technology integrationist. She held previous teaching positions in New Mexico and Virginia.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y., and a master’s in curriculum and instruction from George Mason University. She is completing the principal internship program at the Upper Valley Educators Institute.
