ORFORD — After more than two hours of debate, Rivendell voters approved a $15.8 million school budget, but defeated an article that would have moved future budget votes to an all-day Australian ballot format.

HARTFORD — With the search for a new school superintendent narrowed to two finalists, the public will have a chance to meet the candidates at meetings next week.
NEW LONDON — In ballot voting on Tuesday, James MacKenna earned a three-year term representing New London on the Kearsarge Regional School District Board.
WEST CANAAN — Voters approved a $32.45 million operating budget during Australian ballot voting for the Mascoma Valley Regional School District Tuesday.

ORFORD — Orange East Superintendent Randall Gawel will depart to take the helm of the Rivendell Interstate School District beginning July 1.
LYME — Voters approved all articles at the annual school floor meeting on Thursday night.
WOODSTOCK — In a three-way race for two three-year terms representing Woodstock on the Mountain Views School Board, voters elected incumbent Matt Stout and Sarit Werner.
HANOVER — At the polls on Tuesday, voters approved a school budget of $16.2 million, which is up from the $15.15 million operating budget voters approved last year.
HANOVER — Voters in Norwich and Hanover approved all articles on Tuesday’s Dresden School District ballot.
WINDSOR — Voters in Windsor and West Windsor approved a $15.7 million budget for the Mount Ascutney School District in ballot voting on Tuesday.
CHELSEA — During the First Branch Unified School District annual meeting on Monday night, Tunbridge and Chelsea voters approved a $9.14 million school budget.

SOUTH ROYALTON — Bethel and Royalton voters approved a $15.2 million budget for the White River Unified School District with a minimum of conversation about it at Monday night’s annual meeting.
Article of note: A petitioned warrant article would urge the Legislature and governor to increase state funding for public education “to fulfill the State’s responsibility of providing an adequate education fairly funded for every student across the state.”
Contested races: There are no contested School Board races.

Article of note: One article would change the way voters in the four member towns of Fairlee, Orford, Vershire and West Fairlee decide budgets, moving to a ballot vote with polls open in each town’s polling place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
