Highlights: Bow scored two in third period to erase 3-1 Bear lead. Hanover scored two in the second period on a goal by Nartowicz and a beautiful passing play between Nartowicz and eventual goal scorer Wilson.

Highlights: Green Mountain visited Rivendell Friday night and pulled away in the second half after Rivendell managed to keep things close on the way to a 60-37 win. The Raptors got good efforts from Parker, Woodward and Douglas. Christian Ditcheos notched his first varsity points with a first quarter three-pointer and Bryson Gilman had 6 points and 6 rebounds.

Swimming

Hanover wins meet in White River Junction

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — Elizabeth Staats won the 500-yard freestyle, the 100-yard breaststroke and was on the winning 400-yard freestyle relay for the Hanover High swim team at Friday’s meet at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center.

Hanover came out on top against several schools including Stevens and Lebanon in the dual meet format.

Hanover’s Gabriel Clerkin won the boys 200-yard individual medley and teammates Adelaide Cesanek and Theo Cook won the girls and boys 100-yard freestyle. Stevens Sara Gaspard won the girls 50 free.and was second in the 100-yard breaststroke and Mascoma’s Andrew Prince was second in the boys 100 free. Staats, Ruby Lintner, Joy Cheng and Cesanek won the 200-yard medley relay. Also for Hanover were Mimi Al-Nimr (2nd, 200 free), David Viazemenski (2nd, 50 free) and Lintner (2nd, 500 free)

Indoor track

Mascoma has strong showing at Exeter meet

EXETER, N.H. — A strong showing in the 3,000 meters and the shot put propelled the Mascoma boys indoor track team to a fourth place finish among 15 teams at the New Hampshire Winter Track League meet at Phillips Exeter Academy.

Mascoma’s Gunner Currier won the 3,000M in a time of nine minutes and 24 seconds with teammates Carl Russell and Trevor Maheu finishing second and fourth respectively. In the shot put, Mascoma’s Barnaby Diehn had the winning throw of 51 feet and 3 inches with Colin Myers of Mascoma taking fourth. Currier was eighth in the 1,000 meters.

For the Lebanon girls, the 4 by 200 relay team of Rachel Horak, Banipreet Kaur, Kristen Higgins and Jenney Lutz was fourth among 12 teams and the 4 by 400 team of Eden Ames, Maggie Del Frari, Jaskirat Kaur and Sara Smith also finished fourth. Smith was sixth in the girls 1,000M and Lutz was fifth in the long jump. Lebanon’s Oscar Gulledge finished fourth in the 55 meter hurdles and Higgins was eighth in the girls 55M hurdles with Lebanon’s Caroline Weber seventh in the shot put. Mascoma’s Joanne Behle was seventh in the long jump.

Results: Boys — Phillips Exeter 98, Trinity 52, Hollis/Brookline 48, Mascoma 36, Pelham 31, St. Thomas Aquinas 26, John Stark 21, Spaulding 10th, Kennett 9, Windham 9, Lebanon (15th 4). For the girls, Lebanon was 10th with 11 pts. Mascoma girls did not have a team score.
