The Hurricanes, who lost to Middlebury in the quarterfinal round of VPA Division II girls hockey playoffs in February, have nine returning players and three who are new to the sport. Hartford opens its season at Brattleboro on Dec. 9 and has a rematch with Middlebury set for its Dec. 16 home opener.
