At Saturday’s CVC Championships in Hanover High, the host Bears ran away with a first-place overall finish in the girls meet and second overall for the boys.

Hanover distance runner Lea Perreard swept the distances, winning the 800-, 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs. Lebanon’s Jenney Lutz ran to a second place in the 100 meters and third in the 200 meters and also leaped to second-place finishes in the long jump and triple jump. Newport’s Maddox Lovely won both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles.

Thetford speedster Ulysses Junker-Boyce won both the 100- and 200-meter dashes and placed first in the long jump as well. Hanover runner Lucian Gleiser swept the 800 and 1,600, and Hartford’s Jordan Davis won the javelin and was second in the shot put and discus events.
