Historic belfry returned to Great Stone Dwelling at Enfield Shaker museum

The belfry for the Great Stone Dwelling is lifted into place on Tuesday,  Nov. 28, 2023, at the Enfield Shaker Museum in Enfield, N.H. The building was built in 1837. This past spring it was determined the posts supporting the roof of the belfry needed to be replaced. The bell and belfry were removed from the building.
