Senior Solutions celebrates 50th anniversary

​​​​​SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Senior Solutions, a nonprofit organization that assists older adults, will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a Senior Prom Gala April 28.

The Springfield, Vt.-based council on aging was founded in 1973 and provides services for older adults in 46 towns in Bennington, Orange, Windham and Windsor counties, according to a news release.

The gala begins at 5:30 p.m. with a happy hour at American Legion Post 67, located at 635 Route 103 in Chester, Vt. A buffet dinner is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and dancing is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. The Moonlighters big band will provide live music. Prom attire is encouraged and people of all ages are welcome. Tickets cost between $25 to $75 and can be purchased at seniorsolutionsvt.org/senior-solutions-goes-golden-gala-senior-prom.
