Motorcyclist incurs ‘serious injuries’ in Claremont crash

CLAREMONT — An ambulance carried a motorcyclist with “serious injuries” to the hospital following an accident on Route 120 on Friday night, according to a news release from the Claremont Fire Department.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident, which took place near the the intersection of Thrasher Road in Claremont.
The motorcycle was off the road and the rider on the ground when Claremont fire and police officers arrived on scene at about 6 p.m. on Friday.
Due to the severity of the rider’s injuries, a medical helicopter was requested but air transport was unavailable due to weather conditions. Instead, Golden Cross Ambulance transported the individual, who was not named in the release, to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
City fire and police officials, reached on Monday morning, said they did not have updates on the motorcyclist’s medical condition or the cause of the accident.
