Local roundup: Lebanon boys tennis opens with shutout win at Souhegan

AMHERST, N.H. — The Lebanon High boys tennis team opened the spring season with a resounding win, 9-0, at Souhegan on Tuesday afternoon.
Nolan Arado got things started with an 8-0 win at No. 1 singles for the Raiders. Will Katz and Finn Ericson each added 8-1 wins. Kyle Hines and Lucas Graham, making his varsity debut, each won 8-3. Baden Schifferdecker added an 8-4 win.
Arado and Katz then added a 8-0 win in their doubles match. Hines/Schifferdecker and Ericson/Graham each won their doubles matches 8-1.
Lebanon (1-0) will host Oyster River on Thursday in a rematch of last year’s NHIAA Division II state final, which was won by the Bobcats.
HUDSON, N.H. — The Bears won two of three doubles matches to pick up a narrow win in their season debut Tuesday.
Mackenzie Liu and Campbell White each had 8-1 wins in their singles matches for Hanover. Sophia Costa added an 8-4 win in singles.
Liu and Noura St. Hilaire won perhaps the match of the day in doubles, 9-7 in a tiebreaker. Emilia Torresani and Shayna Rockmore added an 8-4 win in doubles.
Hanover (1-0) will host Bedford on April 14.
