Windsor 3, Green Mountain 1

Key players: Windsor — Audrey Rupp, Amelia Rockwood, Avery Ducharme, Sophia Rockwood; Green Mountain — Honoree Hazen, Leah Cassin

Highlights: Rupp propelled Windsor to a victory with two goals and one assist, with Rockwood recording four saves in goal.

Records: Windsor 3-0; Green Mountain 0-3

Exeter 4, Hanover 1

Key players: Hanover — Penny Blatman, Nora Bradley, Bumpsie Loughman

Highlights: Hanover took the early lead on scramble in front of the net three minutes into the match. Exeter equalized in the 13th minute. Play was even during the first half, with opportunities for both sides. Hanover kept it close until the 58th minute but tired down the stretch.

Highlights: A total team defensive effort limited Woodstock’s scoring chances and led to Hartford’s first win of the season. Hartford goal was scored by Harper Traendley (her third of the year) off a perfect corner kick feed from Sadie Mullen.

Boys Soccer

Key players: Hartford — Tighe Hrabchak, Cavan Benjamin, Nolan Morlock, Colin Morlock; Lake Region — Owen Rogers

Highlights: Hrabchak scored midway through the first half on an assist from Morlock. Hartford came out in the second half and extended the lead to 2-0 on a goal from Benjamin from a Morlock corner kick. Lake Region pulled one back with nine minutes to play on a breakaway goal from Rogers.

Lebanon 5, Laconia 2

Key players: Lebanon — Dom Calandrella, Otto Bourne

Highlights: Five different goal scorers. Two corner kick goals. First varsity goals for sophomores Charlie Ferland, Liam Sullivan and Austin Engert, and goals from junior Abe Pearson and senior Titus Billings as well.

Records: Lebanon 2-1; Laconia 0-2

White River Valley 3, Woodstock 2 (2 OT)

Key players: White River Valley — Jack Hughes, Isaac Kinsley, Jacob Benoit

Highlights: White River Valley led 2-0, but Woodstock tied with two penalties in the second half. Game was won in second OT period. White River Valley goals: Kelan Tlumacki (2) Brayden Russ (1). WRV assists: Brayden Russ (2).

Grace Christian 4 (2 OT)

Key players: Sharon Academy — Collin Keep, Tyler Jones, Finn Proulx, Sully Staff, Gabe Malloy

Highlights: Jones had two goals and the game-winning assist for the Phoenix. Proulx also had two goals (with his second being the winner in double OT). Malloy had a left-footed goal from outside the box. Keeper had several important saves throughout the game.

Highlights: Barwood led the way for Hartford with four goals and an assist, while Jasmin tacked on three goals and three assists. Seaver and Vanesse each added a goal. Goalkeeper Paige Vielleux did not need to make a save.

Highlights: Woodstock traveled to Brattleboro for its first game of the season. The ball moved through the midfield and stayed in the Woodstock offensive half of the field through most of the game but couldn’t find the back of the net. Brattleboro played a strong defensive game. Woodstock had eight penalty corners and kept Brattleboro without any corners throughout the game. Woodstock goalie Stone had one save for the game; Brattleboro goalie Fletcher had eight saves in regulation. The game was 0-0 at the end of regulation, moving into a seven-on-seven overtime. In her first varsity game as a freshman, Betta Cirovic broke the score with 1:11 left in overtime.

Coach’s quote: “We saw strong play from our defense to keep the ball out of the circle and moving up to the offense. Aleks Cirovic played great in the middle of the field. Joey Palazzo also started her first freshman game with strong midfield play.” — Woodstock’s Leanne Tapley
