MANCHESTER, Conn. — The Hanover cross country teams had another strong showing on Saturday with the boys finishing second among 29 teams and the girls third against 21 teams in the large-school divisions of the Wickham Park Invitational 5K cross country meet.

Andrew Valentino led the boys by finishing in third place (16:16) in the field of 198 runners, coming in just 12 seconds behind the winner, Evan Bureau of Bethel (Conn.). For the girls, Megan Faris was fourth (19:12) among 158 runners, with Mikita Barry of Bedford winning in 18:42.
