Hanover wins fourth consecutive state title

Key players: Hanover — As they have the last four years, the Hanover trio of Schuyler Clapp, Jai Gregory and Charlie Forbush led the team the Bears to their fourth NHIAA state championship in a row. It was also Clapp’s fourth consecutive individual state title. Lebanon — Helena Mielcarz was third for the girls.

Highlights: The Bears’ three veteran seniors led the way, but up-and-coming jumpers Hayden Clapp (sixth), Harris Bushell (seventh) and Julian Hart (12th) proved they are ready to take the reins. Coach’s quote: “An idyllic finish for this senior class. What has been most gratifying is watching this veteran group spend considerable time bringing our seven rookie jumpers into the fold. That guidance strengthened us this year and into the future.” — Hanover’s Tom Dodds
