Local roundup: Mascoma tops Newfound in boys soccer opener

BRISTOL, N.H. — Tanner Moulton scored twice to lift the Mascoma High boys soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Newfound during its Monday season opener.
Moulton began the scoring and broke a tie with five minutes remaining for the Royals, who reached the NHIAA Division IV finals last season. Winnisquam visits Mascoma on Saturday.
CONCORD — The Stevens High golf team was 1-2 Monday during a four-team competition at the Beaver Meadow Golf Course.
Stevens’ Owen Wilkinson shot a 43, followed by Aubree Herzog (47), Ian Gersberg (47), Justin Demars (50), Oliver Beeman (54), Lydia Redman (56) and Eli Girard (58).
Team scores: Bishop Brady 76, Pelham 65, Stevens 65, John Stark 63.
