Hanover voters elect three to School Board

HANOVER — Incumbents Deborah Bacon Nelson and Kelly McConnell were reelected to the Hanover School Board.

They will be joined by newcomer Marcela Di Blasi. Nelson received 479 votes, McConnell received 475 votes and Di Blasi received 426 votes. They defeated Anastasia Rodzianko, who received 116 votes.

Hanover voters also approved all spending articles, including the proposed $15.15 million operating budget and a new three-year collective bargaining agreement between the Hanover Education Association and the Hanover School Board. The first year of the contract is to cost $409,000. 

They also supported using $75,000 from the Don S. Bridgman Fund “in order to afford additional advantages to the students of the District not provided by taxes” and $100,000 for the School Building Maintenance Expendable trust fund.
