ENFIELD — The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services issued a cyanobacteria warning for Lake Mascoma and Pleasant Lake Wednesday.

“There will be weekly testing and beaches will remain posted until the warning is lifted,” according to an announcement posted to Enfield’s website.

Mascoma Lake is located in both Enfield and Lebanon. The DES also issued a cyanobacteria warning for Pleasant Lake in New London Wednesday. While state officials do not close lakes due to cyanobacteria warnings, they do recommend that people stay out of the water.
