West Lebanon man pleads guilty to striking police officer and drug possession

NORTH HAVERHILL — A 40-year old man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a multi-year prison term for drug possession and striking a Lebanon police officer when he attempted to flee during a motor vehicle stop in Lebanon last summer.

Daniel Bibbee, of West Lebanon, was sentenced in Grafton Superior Court on February 3 from a minimum of 3 years to a maximum of 8 years in state prison with 7½ years to 15 years suspended for 10 years to be served concurrently on the guilty pleas, according to New Hampshire state court records. 

Bibbee, who was already wanted on outstanding warrants at the time, struck Lebanon police officer Emily Winslow in the face while attempting to flee on foot after officers pulled him over for a motor vehicle stop on Aug. 7, 2022, on Route 120 in Lebanon, according to Lebanon police. After officers subdued Bibbee with a stun gun, they found him in possession about 300 bags of heroin, police 

Bibbee has the right to receive one year off his committed sentence if he successfully completes Department of Corrections addiction treatment programs.
