LEBANON — A second occupant from a motor vehicle that crashed on Thursday on Interstate 91 in Hartland has died, according to authorities.

Juanita Young, 64, of Marlboro, Vt., succumbed to her injuries at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, according to police. Young — one of two passengers in the vehicle who had been transported to DHMC from the scene of the accident — had life-threatening injuries, Vermont State Police said in a news release on Thursday.

Authorities said they were informed by the hospital of Young’s death on Friday morning.

The second passenger in the vehicle was identified as Roberta Roberts, 56, of Lebanon. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle, David Roberts, 83, of Canaan, was pronounced dead at the scene on Thursday.

The three occupants and a dog were traveling southbound on I-91 when the vehicle crossed into the median, rolled several times and came to a rest on the northbound side of the interstate, according to police.

Authorities have not stated cause of the crash; road conditions across the Upper Valley were widely reported as challenging on Thursday morning due to the previous night’s snowstorm.
